        1. I'll be very interested in seeing how FLoC and Turtledove tests start going, but with still no hint of adoption by other browsers we're on the edge of a potential real market test...

        If: 1. the browser market is fair (???) 2. users care about privacy enough 3. sites don't penalize users who don't come in on Chrome 4. Chrome is the only browser to deploy these services Then we may see a situation where Chrome falls from the top browser spot.

      I'm not sure that will happen tho. We may recall Chrome became the top browser due to a focused campaign to get people off IE. People are very slow to change browsers and if privacy was a significant motivator for that change, I'm not sure why they wouldn't have already.

    I do wonder if the tracking issue will be a concern for government agencies, especially if they see clear alternatives. It'll be interesting if there's a security focused mandate in the future.
