        mathewi pilhofer Web hosting existed before Cloudflare and AWS, they just make it cheaper and easier to scale and scale quickly. They've become a huge part of the internet because startups only value those qualities. But that doesn't make them required.

      mathewi pilhofer All of their functionality is able to be replicated by anyone on basic web servers and Linux machines. The vendors aren't required, just cheap, all this really means is that being hateful comes with a social cost that manifests on this case as a web infrastructure tax.

    mathewi pilhofer The more I think about it the more I think that quick, cheap, easy scale for your website is a privilege of amplification akin to having a Twitter account, nothing more nothing less.
