    JohnT15 yourewrongabout Oh yeah, I mean, it turned out to be quite a good idea Law & Order ended when it did. The treatment of the cops by the show (overwhelmingly positive) would never fly today.

      JohnT15 yourewrongabout It still is entertaining even if it doesn't hold up at all thru a modern lens, the mechanisms of each episode's plot & characters are so finely tuned it has the feel of watching someone unveil the inner workings of a pocket watch, somehow inherently satisfying.

        JohnT15 The mechanism itself (not to mention some great performances) is what makes it good to watch. It would be interesting to imagine what it could do with our modern perception of law enforcement.
