                            1. Imagine being given a Star Trek show and then being so poor at writing Star Trek you write yourself a half ass way out of operating in that universe for a season. Then being so poor at that you steal your emotional beats from Rogue One.

Also... lacking character consistency, logical actions, a core arc outside of yet another mystery box, and then having one of your characters describe themselves as "space broke".

If it didn't take itself so seriously while not understanding Star Trek at all Discovery would be a better parody of Star Trek than Orville. But instead it's out here pulling some Star Wars fantasy not explaining anything silliness.

So frustrating to see a show squander so many good qualities and actors and resources doing everything but being Star Trek.

Ahhhhh they established there are 3 common non warp ways to travel FTL in the first episode and then apparently decided to go in on an economy that ignores that. Why?!

Scotty could re crystallize dilithium with tech from the 1970s. How does any of this make sense?

All caught up and there was one whole episode where they actually did a Star Trek and it was good. Why not do that instead of setting up endless mystery boxes? Also... detached nacelles make the ship 'go faster'? Lol... The writers know they aren't rocket engines right?

All the current Star Trek Discovery mystery boxes, I think: - Is Starfleet OK or baddies? - why does everyone know the same lullaby? (what?!?) - What happened to Michael's mom? - What happened to the mirror universe? - What happened to Georgiou's mind? ...

              - Is The Sphere taking over the ship? - Are various members of the crew somehow mentally compromised by an outside force or is the show just bad at portraying PTSD?

            - Why did The Burn happen? (BTW: at this point the show has said the Burn impacted: All dilithium / active warp cores / only ships at warp and it can't seem to make up its mind) I think that's all of them?

And for that last one, they're going to have to do the thing they did last season where they rocket around the galaxy looking for clues.

If it turns out to be Modern Star Trek's third evil AI (after last season's and Picard's) or magic blood I'm going to be very frustrated.

Also... I can't get over how dumb the portable transporters are... it's just how normal transporters work but without talking to a person? It's basically an excuse to make it so people can enter scenes the same way warp does, gotta go faster, make everything pop out of nowhere.

Wow, so the answer to the Lullaby question is the dumbest possibility and they're going to try and go to the mirror universe for magic blood aren't they? Also: another FTL method with no dilithium requirements and still no one remembers poor Scotty's transparent aluminum.

Also, whatever Booker's ability is... 'empath' is definitely not the right term.

Oh... And we're never going to get an answer about why Burnham and her mom landed in entirely different wrong places are we?
