          garjoh_canuck Myles_Younger Yes, that's why there's a huge technology push to close the loophole. The industry thinks if it can get adoption of a standard asap this will somehow be an argument against it getting cut off. It won't be.

        garjoh_canuck Myles_Younger The incentives of platforms, SSOs, devices and browsers all line up against having user data shared in this way. Everyone but ad tech is fully incentivized to assure that synced email-based ids are impossible.

      garjoh_canuck Myles_Younger The IAB's project rearc was presented a year ago to a group that included reps from all browsers and it was roundly rejected. It hasn't been changed meaningfully since.

    garjoh_canuck Myles_Younger The IAB and others aren't defining future standards with these, they are defining avenues by which browsers and privacy advocates will, rightfully, attack.
