theleoji Yeah, to be clear the cookie banner consent stuff is an entirely different law and legal situation than GDPR and handling the two is unrelated. Could be b/c they can't figure out where you are? But also lends weight towards this being a cookie flow, b/c that triggers everywhere.

theleoji It is commonly believed that a treaty between the EU and the US allows them to enforce the cookie stuff in the US, but not GDPR. It's very weird.
