        thezedwards IconicNumber7 slayser8 happensinadops I just think listening to and processing everything from a passive mic is pretty costly! It's one thing to target you based on active conversations you have with an ai, but an entirely other thing cost-wise to process *everything*.

      thezedwards IconicNumber7 slayser8 happensinadops I've played with the speech parsing tools and they all seem far too expensive to operate on the scale of passive recording of everything around them for the potential return of ad targeting.

    thezedwards IconicNumber7 slayser8 happensinadops I don't think it's impossible they could, the tech is all there all over the place already, just it's not very cost efficient and most ad tech firms (excluding big tech, of course) aren't going to spend the money to innovate to make it more efficient when buying data is so cheap
