Ok my stream is only an empty chair now and I gotta say... I am not sure what chair it is. Not a Steelcase, as it lacks their distinctive arm rests which have flatter tops and more less rounded corners. Nor does it have the wide upper back of many of the current Herman Millers.
-
The stiff wave in the back shape along with the slight taper make me think it may still be a HM chair though. like a Cosm model perhaps, but the arms are still wrong for that. And most of the HM models of that type use a particular y shape frame for the back.

Ah ha, it looks like you are correct! I was right that it is an older model, the Celle was around in 2005 and it is significantly less expensive, at a suggested price under $700, cheap for an office chair! scribandotcom/1288578394947350528

This has been an update from my low-key obsession with office chairs kthx.

(Also, credit where credit is due: Herman Miller has such a distinctive design sensibility it was easy to figure out that it was likely one of theirs, even if it was harder to figure out which exact model.)
-
Also... an interesting little note on chair design... I'm pretty sure that chair is the only one that has deployed armrests. Everyone else appears to be in arm-less chairs.

Mby Zuck has arms on his chair? Hard to tell. I dunno why his camera is so close up to him.
