    1. Is there a professional practice akin to sensitivity reader but for engineering projects? Esp. open source ones looking to understand their impact?

I went to sleep thinking about how the status quo maintains a toxic or self-reinforcing community of thought & how other communities have pushed change. I think comics or novelists hiring sensitivity readers seem to be a good example of a professional way to counter the tendency.

& then I thought about how I would leverage the same tools, what ways are available to my community of coders that work on things like WordPress or DWeb and I'm not sure we have anything similar. It is just sort of assumed to one day show up via PR. Is there a formal alternative?

In my mind, it might be a paid practitioner who does something like a Wardrip-Fruin-style deep read of code, but w/an eye towards the type of markers sensitivity readers look for in texts. How code might hurt others through unintentional expressions of bias. That sort of thing.

It def seems to me that this is something that would be useful and worth paying for.
