  1. Checking out new soundtracks to listen to today and I am recalling how great King Arthur Legend of the Sword is. That films is undervalued as one of the truly great terrible films and you should watch it.

If you imagine "Guy Ritchie directs a King Arthur film" it is exactly the film you are imagining and that is just the best. King Arthur fights ninjas out of nowhere. King Arthur is a street thug. King Arthur shadow boxes. There is a heist.

My favorite rumor about this film is that Guy Ritchie was planning to make a high class period piece and when he took it to the studio they were like 'that's not why we hired you, we want a Guy Ritchie King Arthur movie' and boy is that what they got. youtu.be/6rbPTQIdjmY

I think maybe they thought it was going to be some sort of super hero starter film or the beginning of a trilogy or something. It has that feel and apparently they announced it at Comic Con? But boy it is so unmistakably a Guy Ritchie film and as much fun as that implies.

I mean even that 1st trailer is so unmistakably Ritchie. You watch & you know *exactly* what you're getting into, but it seemed like people were surprised by the level of crazy when they went to see it. But oh man, every trailer is 100% crazy gold. youtu.be/jIM4-HLtUM0

Also Jude Law is 100% ham. It's perfect for this film, it's the most scene eating ludicrous villainy since Jeremy Irons screamed about raining blood in Dungeons & Dragons.

There's also one of the best Ritchie montages where Arthur grows up via getting beaten up and doin' crimes. It's so fantastically ridiculous and so extremely stylistically Ritchie.

Everything in this film is just maxed out. It is wild. I cannot recommend it enough.
