      swodinsky There are a lot of assumptions because marketing data companies care more about the illusion of accuracy than accuracy, but yeah, part of the use is to trace people back to residential neighborhoods which allows companies to leverage preexisting data from like... mail days.

    swodinsky All ad tech is basically trying to get back to the days you cut coupons. Am I super jaded to have assumed this was commonly known? It's why Foursquare is an ad data service now. Their long-term small scale data is like the killer app.
