But I do fundamentally agree w/you, the process should be more transparent, the method should be documented, there should be a public editor who regularly writes on this at NYT, & they should be more accountable to readers.Permalink On twitter.com

TurbulentSkies NYT did make all this more public at one point, but now does it a lot less frequently and that is bad. I know from experience that the process exists, but NYT makes assumptions that other people outside of journalism are also aware of that and I think that is unfair of them.On twitter.com
