        1. I think the wildest thing about Disney CEOs is how they all desperately want to be seen as creatives in a way that would never occur to any other media company CEO.

        It's even crazier that reporters generally hold them to that standard. Like, no one goes around asking if Comcast's CEO is arty-style 'creative' enough to lead the company. I don't know what exactly happened there besides the perception that they all have to be Walt.

      It's on par with the perception that all Apple execs should be Steve Jobs, like the company would have preferred to make these people immortal leaders forever. But in reality, new perspectives & approaches revitalize leadership, a thing that every case study I've read reflects

    But it was fascinating when reading DisneyWar just how hardcore the 'all CEOs should follow the exact mold' thinking was at Disney. Which is wild to still see reported now when each CEO definitely made choices Walt would never have made.
