There are some people who are blogging under their own name because in the course of their previous work they proved untrustworthy, yet for some reason people keep trusting them and I don't get it. My big frustration in the media biz is who keeps getting chances and who doesn't.
-
We could get into an argument over if each of these individuals deserves their 2nd, 3rd or 4th chance, if their work is really that good, etc... but generally the problem is a system in which all those chances go to the same type of person and no other type and that's frustrating

If no legitimate media company would hire someone why trust their reporting, even so far as to repeat it?
-
It is particularly frustrating when seeing the other side, where rules get applied based on external response, instead of on the objective case, which means enforcement privileges those who have privilege, instead of working based on the rules in a particular case.
-
And imagine being the type of asshole who, having leveraged and leaned on that type of privilege all their career, uses it to attack and insult people without that privilege at their moments of vulnerability, when that lack of privilege is used to punish them. Indefensible.
