This is interesting, but like all blockchain ideas I can't see its effectiveness if it was actually a global standard. Seems like that would be a really heavy blockchain. The study results on how people interact w/photos is really interesting, as are the UI ideas, but expanding existing systems and carrying that metadata in og share cards etc... would seem to be the best first step. Most EXIF data goes untouched unless a platform system strips it

As a good start, including EXIF data as an accessible layer on top of share cards seems like a great easy idea for both Twitter and Facebook to implement. As for blockchain... am I missing something?

The irony is that we have more photo and video metadata via phones than we have ever had before and we just don't use it for anything.
