So you know how sometimes people will ask the Threader app to unroll a thread that's like three tweets long? Or 1 tweet? I figured out at least 1 reason why: Threader's got a page that shows the most popular stored tweets and it has become a way for people to read Twitter.

That's not a criticism, I know some people are real down on the service and I see both sides, I think it is just one more fascinating example of how every social service has layers up and down many users aren't aware of at all. Aggregators come for us all.

It is its own little social network on top of a social network with custom stuff if you log in. I find it fascinating.
