      kashhill I've talked with folks about it in ad tech and while a lot of the data is good and detailed enough to meaningfully identify you it usually isn't good enough to absolutely identify personally you, so when you ask if they have data on *specifically you* the answer is "not much".

    kashhill Especially if you recently cleared cookies or got a new phone or something like that and they can no longer align their arbitrary ID to your specific machine, and sometimes even that's not enough, because what is multiple people use your computer?

      kashhill *what if Which is a thing that happens a lot! Or at least theoretically *could*, like someone could pick up your unlocked phone on the street I guess.
