    swodinsky masooga Not making a judgement call, but from what I've seen: Following, liking or landing on any number of LGBTQ+ publications, reading about particular celebrities, engaging with specific aligned brands, specific keywords in search.

      swodinsky masooga Like a lot of targeting it builds off of assumptions that are made on instinct, and relatively unproven. Occasionally that works.

        swodinsky masooga The irony is that publications leak targeting data that influences the targeting outside of their sites on most of the web. Like, I'd bet a ton of LGBTQ+ targeting is built off data collected by placing ads on Out, but that doesn't turn into money for Out itself.
