    kevinriggle It's not abstract to me, which is why I think every individual human deserves a home. My proposal, if you're right, would have no impact other than additional gov't work, but if I'm right would force the market to level faster and create funding for homeless services immediately.

      kevinriggle But you're right it isn't abstract, my real solution, if there was any chance of it being realized, is for the gov't to hire inspectors to examine housing for vacancies and if they remain unfilled for >6 months, seize them and immediately redistribute them to the homeless.

        kevinriggle However a vacancy tax would do literally nothing if you're correct and have a much lower footprint, so why not support it? Your position hasn't worked for years, why not modify it?

          kevinriggle I mean, if we both agree that it is a priority to house the homeless expediently, why not seek the most prioritized and fastest route?
