      antoniogm swodinsky I dunno, I disagree that the utility even fully exists, but that is it's more a marketing tool with a few notable (Facebook, for example) exceptions. Most of the data is scraped up for marketing reasons, and I don't mean rip target ads, but to sell tech with wild promises...

    antoniogm swodinsky And at the end of the day, even if this was beneficial to all actors in the ad tech chain, a handful of instances of algorithmic red lining and discrimination in that detailed data is enough reason to challenge its existence...

      antoniogm swodinsky To give consumers a real informed choice? At the end of the day, I think that's a reasonable request. Better targeted marketing isn't worth even a few instances of systematic discriminatory behavior. We build for a just society first, economic value 2nd. But both are possible!
