      1. Here's the thing I really don't understand... Everyone knows the Thunderdome was a bad thing right? Like the point was that the Thunderdome is a tool only a truly broken society would use, a mostly fixed game of bread and circuses designed to propagate an unjust system?

      Like it was in the name of the film, he had to get *beyond* Thunderdome. Maybe stop using the name for things you think are good. Especially for arguments with people that you think make you look brave or clever.

      Beyond Thunderdome was not a great movie and it was very confused about a lot of things but perhaps the only thing it was 100% clear on was that the Thunderdome was bad. I had always thought that was literally the one thing you could take away from that film no matter what.
