swodinsky I box specific types of comms to specific services & then tactically ignore or turn off notifications on those services during times I'm unprepared to process them. I also subdivide sets of friends to different services. I couldn't cope with pings coming at me at all times.Permalink On twitter.com

swodinsky I've had SOs who didn't get this & got upset about speed of response & that was very stressful. But my current SO gets it & gets that there are very few situations in which she need escalate to calling me, but that the option is open when required. It isn't perfect, but it works.On twitter.com
