PSA: when people talk about ad tech tracking pixels, they aren't talking about actual images anymore. Unless something breaks (or you have Javascript turned off), a tracking "pixel" is usually a whole mess of Javascript, no actual image files involved.

For example: The Facebook and Snapchat pixels are really just on-page Javascript APIs for sending data to their respective servers.
