Also, while we're here, a note on some weird iPhone shit: iPhone web views will continue to run on recently used apps unless you explicitly close them. Apple, presumably, does this for performance, so switching back won't require a cold-start...On twitter.com

But I think there's a good argument for the methodology to change. It's one thing to keep the web views open, another to allow them to continue to make network requests while the view is open in background.
