      Also, while we're here, a note on some weird iPhone shit: iPhone web views will continue to run on recently used apps unless you explicitly close them. Apple, presumably, does this for performance, so switching back won't require a cold-start...

        But I think there's a good argument for the methodology to change. It's one thing to keep the web views open, another to allow them to continue to make network requests while the view is open in background. If Apple wants to continue to be strong on privacy it should talk to this

          It's hard to separate network requests needed for updates and those originating from open web views, perhaps? But even so, it is worth discussing this further.
