        1. I most certainly fking do not. Don't link to this shit.

People used to say all press is good press, that's not true anymore, but all mechanical amplification is useful to those amplified. Professional propaganda researchers and moderators are having psychological issues from these spaces, don't send your average reader to them.

I don't understand how it's 2019 and journalists still don't understand that MSM angrily linking or amplifying is why they do things like shitty 'edgy' comedy to begin with. It's the whole point. Amplifying extremists creates more extremists.

Especially when you link to their channel which registers this as more views causing the system to amplify them more!

Like don't give them more views at the very least! This is so fundamentally irresponsible of BuzzFeed it's shocking.

Professional researchers treat this type of content with protections, training and tools, like it is the psychological equivalent of radioactive matter. To link your audience to it, and then instruct them to go to it, is journalistic malpractice.

To link to more than one, everyone involved in putting that post online needs training. Real serious training on how this shit they are reporting on works.

Also, the hypocrisy of 1. pixeling the kid's face while linking to their video and 2. Just putting quotes by the kid and having no counterbalance from a professional who researches this type of content, is breathtaking. This article is shockingly inept and potentially harmful.

Also, those YouTube links do *not* have rel=nofollow on them which means that when Google indexes this article those links will be considered ranking signals that push the linked YouTube videos further towards the top of search results. Just so many incredibly bad decisions here.

(I am displaying these links as full screenshots of HTML for exemplary purposes, absolutely do not try and read them, type them into your toolbar and go to them. Don't go to those links, seriously)

That this article has not only been up for almost 24 hours and also continues to have an open comment section is baffling. WTF?!
