Also, I just want to code on the same machine I play video games on without switching operating systems friends. And if you tell me Apple is just as good at video games you are provably wrong and I refuse to engage. Other than that, yes, I agree w/all of you, simultaneously.

lol this is shaping up to be my most controversial tweet ever and I once called a beloved journalism personality unqualified and another time said the entire methodology of how we make money on the web is bullshit, but Microsoft being cool is where everyone wants to argue I guess

Fun facts: I own multiple machines running Linux, OSX and Windows and also I hosted a Windows 8 launch house party back in the day which means somewhere around here is the Windows 8 jigsaw puzzle and Win8 golden CD signed by Steve Ballmer lol

The thread is still going. Now I've also got Microsoft stans who want me to know it was always cool, people upset I don't have emacs in my list of alternatives and also jokes. Also some chill MS engineers, hi! I assume this got on a Slack somewhere? Or a trend?

I think my fav response is people going 'Embrace, Extend, and Extinguish never forget!' like that isn't how *literally all* companies work now. Anyway, MS is def contributing back to open source. I guess don't chill but also, yeah, I *know*
