      1. Does the open source community have any ethicists? What do we do about Palantir? Not only do open source contributions to their code bases contribute to child separation, but their open source code works to obscure the organization's role in some awful behavior.       TSLint alone is a hugely popular part of the Javascript ecosystem. Last updated 16 days ago it has more than 2.24 million weekly downloads and its npm page features Palantir's logo. npmjs.com/package/tslint

    If you work in the modern Javascript stack you likely use Typescript and if you use Typescript, you likely use TSLint. Or you use a library that uses TSLint. What do we do about an ethics abuse that directly helps power code buried deep in all our projects?

      More than that, there's a real concern here that if you contributed to a Palantir open source project, a piece of your code is helping to separate children from their parents at the US border.
