    swodinsky I dunno, I'd argue that also they don't really seem to desire analysis by academics, at least not at the upper levels, and tools that work for marketers are easier to tie to performance metrics that can get people bonuses

      swodinsky Also, I'd bet a high likelihood that the real secret sauce is that the targeting data is a mess and not at all as accurate or useful as they claim and they really want to keep that part of it under wraps.
