Hey... uhhh... something weird is happening with OpenGraph link cards on Twitter.
-
The configuration of the iFrames that contain the link cards, or the content of those frames, has changed in some non-obvious way. It is causing them to act differently then they were on Friday and I can't figure out what it is.
-
Does anyone have a good HTML archive of a Tweet with a link card in it, that includes the content of that link card, so I can compare?
-
Worth noting: I had never noticed this before now, but the fact that opengraph cards on Twitter are inside iFrames makes it very hard to see what people are linking to inside most public web archive tools since 2016ish and that really sucks.
-
Also: I now realize Twitter Link Cards are publicly addressable outside the context of their tweets (tho you can't link em here): twitter (dot) com/i/cards/tfw/v1/1116010013447917569?cardname=summary_large_image&autoplay_disabled=true&forward=true&earned=true&edge=true&lang=eu

More detail: I use a tool that adds
allow-forms allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-top-navigation-by-user-activation
to sandbox prop of iFrames. I've been using it for months. Fri: worked fine. Today: If I click on links nothing, if I right click to new tab they work fine. -

I did update my browser... did browser support for that prop change perhaps?
