      jbenton That's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about loading the whole article inside the NYT app without using a browser, republishing it essentially, but blocking off access by LAT to standard data...

    jbenton If the NYT app were to include links to LAT content in their standard home page that opened inside the NYT app with the NYT logo on top of it, essentially iFraming it in, it would make cookies, subscription and all sorts of features of the site more difficult to operate.

      jbenton I mean, in a very general sense, in-app browsers are the enemy of the open web in my opinion as well, a related, but longer conversation. And Apple pays pre-existing providers, it doesn't have an in-house journalistic newsroom as far as I know?
