        Google could be so much more evil and/or effective if it wasn't also a dysfunctional mess of disconnected teams with no clear vision or strategy. Google could be massively more dangerous if its corporate structure actually worked.

      Like imagine if all the work that Google put into Google Plus had been turned towards a decently thought out effort? Or the multiple overlapping chat apps had cooperating instead of competing teams?

    No one really writes about it, because NDAs, & because it is so huge its hard to tell, but Google doesn't operate very well as a company. Or actually do that much, considering it's size and number of engineers. These days, it mostly just tries to imitate other companies' products
