Never have I seen a stronger argument that all news organizations should be B-Corps. wsj.com/articles/hedge-fund-backed-media-group-prepares-bid-for-gannett-11547427720

The hedge fund backing DFM could potentially use its minority stake in Gannett to legally force the co into a buy out, b/c under current rules the board *must* do what is most profitable to shareholders as defined by shareholders. In a B-Corp, goals other than profit can be set.

It frustrates me how few journalism outlets and startups explore a B-Corp setup, despite how incredibly well it would align to their goals. All journalism space people fundamentally think of themselves this way anyway.
