Also still no word count you cowards? lol put seriously the shift of the trending panel to the right is the sort of move that will please users and result in basically no one ever going to a trending page, so I expect to see that reversed.

The single column no split thread view is a clear tip o the hat to Twitter threaders, which is... not how the majority of users use Twitter, right?

Information density appears to be down, so Twitter designers are appearing to follow Fad Design as opposed to UX-backed Design. Can't wait for this and New Reddit to launch in the same week and the whole internet explode.

I wonder if they are prepping to read at least the night mode value off of the device, something that is a suggested future browser feature.

That said, I can see this new design going live pretty much as it is. The problems in the UX are huge for Twitter's usability but not very visible to the average user. I suspect it won't result in huge negative feedback but just less users.

Very surprised the 'pull user-initiated playing video to the right' pattern isn't in the new design.
