IMO the American Eternal War is a harder problem then most people think about. On one hand our intervention is often destructive, oppressive, & imperialistic. On the other hand, isn't there a moral imperative to intercede in truly awful human rights abuses?...On twitter.com

War is bad, but also--all jokes about America: World Police aside--when we came out of the Holocaust and said "never again", part of that was the eventuality that assuring that would include military intervention. I've been all over the issue in the past and even in print, because I think that different situations must be assessed differently, but I do think we will sometimes measure the price of intervention and come out with a 'yes we should intervene'.Permalink On twitter.com
