  1. There's this common yarn that social platform leaders bow to conservatives because they tend to be liberal and over correct, or just conservatives have money, etc... But I don't think either are true...

      I think a lot of SV employees are pretty liberal, and all of them often vote Democrat, but I think many and especially leadership are conservative in many ways and just find 'appear liberal' an effective recruiting method...

        If you look at someone like Zuck and see their libertarian economics, anti labor, anti regulation, anti affordable housing, anti equal pay, and anti pretty much the main body of leftist politics, is their support for stuff like weed or gay marriage really make them liberal?

          These Zuck documents make it clear his only real politics are self interest and it seems like many big tech leaders are the same, which means they support a lot of nasty economics measures that are mostly pushed by conservatives.

            So maybe we stop acting like the Right fooled social platforms into favoring them and realize the conservatives involved just drew attention to stuff social tech leadership didn't want happening anyway.
