TravelingAnna Yeah, me too. I think it is a terrible idea executed by people who don't understand how to work within the web's larger infrastructure effectively. Crosslinking between domains and canonical linking can be done to significant effect (see Gizmodo) but someone would have to give afOn twitter.com

TravelingAnna Even more depressing is that I've heard a few older very targeted sites with effective community built around their specificity will be rolling back into their motherships as well which I think will be quite bad for their engagement.Permalink On twitter.com
