  1. Washington Post reports the last message posted to the Pittsburgh shooter's likely social media account was "Screw your optics, I’m going in.”. What is that likely to mean? I have a pretty good idea... washingtonpost.com/technology/2018/10/28/how-gab-became-white-supremacist-sanctuary-before-it-was-linked-pittsburgh-suspect/

Numerous journalists who drove into White Supremacy networks in the aftermath of Charlottesville reported on the 'optics' debate within neo Nazi circles. Here's Vox's reporting vox.com/2018/8/10/17670996/alt-right-unite-the-right-nazis-charlottesville

So let's be 100% clear. When neo-Nazis talk about optics they are talking about assuring they retain the branding and appearance of reasonable political debaters so they can continue to receive amplification by media who are fooled into thinking this is a normal political debate.

See, the neo-Nazis need media organizations to be complicit in their message to spread it as far as possible & increase recruitment, thus they maintain "optics", the appearance of reasonableness to cover up their true intentions until they gain the power to execute their plans.

But their plans are still what the plans of neo-Nazis always are: supremacy, deportation, mass murder, racial strife, and yeah that old threat - kill all Jewish people.

So what did the shooter mean if he said “Screw your optics, I’m going in.”?
              1. …in reply to @Chronotope
He would mean he has dismissed the "optics" debate and was intending to execute the intent of all neo-Nazis and white supremacists instead of pretending otherwise strategically. By shooting Jews he was doing what the "white nationalists" have always intended to do, just early.

So remember this, their "dapper" looks and "identity politics" and "nationalism", those are just the optics they've designed to lure you into amplifying. Walking into a synagogue and shooting Jews, that's their intent. That's what their end game is.
                  1. …in reply to @Chronotope
That's what the end game of the alt-r*ght has always been, the extinction of diversity through any means necessary. That's the difference between Proud B*ys and antifa. That's the reason their debating is in bad faith. That's the reason you shouldn't put them on TV.
                    1. …in reply to @Chronotope
Every time you pretend that an "white identity politics" leader is arguing in good faith, or is worth interviewing on TV, you're falling for their "optics". You're letting them lie and get away with the lie that their movement has any goal besides exterminating non-white people.
                      1. …in reply to @Chronotope
It doesn't. The Pittsburgh shooting is exactly what their end game looks like stripped of the bullshit obfuscation Shooting Jews, shooting non-whites, this is what the alt-r*ght looks like... without the optics.
