    mathewi sonyaellenmann backus The challenge is always transaction fees on micro transactions, but Civil could act as a clearinghouse for micro transactions by dividing macro transactions sort of like Blendle without Blockchain.

      mathewi sonyaellenmann backus It's just hard to see how an unstable system (Crypto currency) + an unstable system likely to be changed and depreciated for a new standard (tokens) + a relatively untested management method of those tokens is going to make the jobs of journalists safer or their pay more reliable

        mathewi sonyaellenmann backus Video games have been doing the whole 'buy a bunch of fake currency to dole out for specific things' to avoid transaction fees for years now. It's a far more proven method with lower risk. I see no reasonable argument for Civil Tokens that would make it superior to that method.
