          WebBarr I don't really. I mean the same thing happened with AJ-A and Fusion, among (as you note) others. I think Cheddar is just as guilty as duping itself with autoplay, videos embedded in places like Twitter playing out of context, and other traditional web media tricks...

        WebBarr Sure, the experiences are blending together, but the business models and advertising approaches definitely are not and that's what is going to trip up Cheddar, just like the rest of them. Cable has too much authenticated metrics, the web almost none...

      WebBarr At the end of the day they're going to get screwed because in the process of fooling investors about their success they fooled themselves and whatever 'success' they got on the web--it won't show up on cable.

    WebBarr (That's not even counting the fact that no one has shown a clear method for converting web viewers to cable viewers is even possible. It only seems to go the other way.)
