      In the wake of the Great Recession techbros look at the instability and unreliability of modern banking and say: we will fix this by using Better Tech and Less Regulations and they end up creating an even more unstable situation with even less reliability.

    And *bonus* now banking actually literally melts the icecaps in a direct 1<>1 way. Cryptocurrency is the perfect example of how startupland is a real life monkey's paw powered by hubris and egotism. Blockchain isn't even a bad tech, it's just the assholes trying to Disrupt banks.

      If history remembers crypto currency at all, it will be as a financial object that increased instability & economic inequality, that required regulation which wasn't put into place until it was too late. They just re-invented the worst parts of the banking system But w/More Tech
