TravelingAnna I think Disqus is a solid tool, but the nature of how it makes money with ad means that user data is inherently compromised and leaky in ways that aren't great, but also... feels like a weird story b/c it's really just 'Nazis use comment sections' which is... ehhh?Permalink On twitter.com

TravelingAnna I mean... Disqus should kick those people off, even though their biz model likely makes the cost of such enforcement very difficult for them but, unlike Twitter or Facebook, no-platforming Nazis on Disqus isn't going to stop Nazis from using comment sections.On twitter.com

TravelingAnna Like I'm not excusing Disqus at all here... but this is way more of a symptom being described and it would be better to dig into the core problem which is...
